We tracked the drums for “Missing Much” and “Secure” on the same day in the studio with talented Nashville drummer Jon Truman. My process is to take notes as I listen, give feedback between takes, and then do one take at the end where all notes get thrown out the window. That last “caution to the wind” pass is usually where some of the best magic is captured.

Ps. During “Missing Much,” Jon handed us some sticks to join in on the action and now I can add “session percussionist” to my resume.
